The details of all the council members can be found on the parish council website<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantleywithbrantonparish.co.uk\"> www.cantleywithbrantonparish.co.uk<\/a> or on the parish council &nbsp;notice boards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Provision of New Outdoor Equipment for Kilham Lane Recreation Ground <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DMBC has formally approved the scheme put forward by the parish council which subject to sufficient funding being available will include a path around the perimeter of the recreation ground for walking and cycle training for young children and additional benches adjacent to the new apparatus.&nbsp; The necessary procedures are now being enacted and it is hoped that at least some of the equipment will be in place for the summer holiday period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Residents are reminded that dogs are not permitted on the recreation ground due to&nbsp; the health risks that can arise particularly to young children.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fencing Around Grass Verges on Valley Drive and Rural Crescent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The parish council has submitted a planning application for approval to erect birdsmouth fencing along the grass verge opposite the school and to a small area at the junction of Valley Drive and Rural Crescent.&nbsp; Over a number of years the parish council has received complaints and concerns from residents regarding the condition of the verges and the safety of children using the footpath due to vehicles parking on the verges at the beginning and end of the school day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Speeding Traffic on Whiphill Top Lane <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following complaints by residents of Whiphill Top Lane the parish council has approached South Yorkshire Police to request that enforcement measures are carried out in an attempt to reduce speeding traffic on Whiphill Top Lane.&nbsp; At the present time however due to no incidents or casualties occurring in the last three years no resources can currently be made available.&nbsp; &nbsp;DMBC will continue to carry out regular speed monitoring checks to provide further evidence of traffic speeds to the police as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dog Fouling\/Litter on Pavements in Branton <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The parish council continues to receive complaints from residents regarding dog fouling on pavements and DMBC\u2019s Enforcement Team has visited Branton to identify the most affected areas.&nbsp; A number of fines have been issued and this has been welcomed by the parish council in order to keep the streets clean and tidy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Provision of a Defibrillator<\/strong><u>&nbsp; <\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Consideration is being given to the purchase of a defibrillator to be sited in a suitable location that can be accessed at all times by the public.&nbsp; If it is felt that this would be highly beneficial and any letters of support and any suggestions for suitable locations would be greatly appreciated in order to assist with any bids for funding that may be submitted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A defibrillator has been recently obtained at St Wilfrid\u2019s School and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is currently considering the purchase of a second one to site at both its first aid stations.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;] Annual Parish Council Meeting&nbsp;
