Update on Provision of a Pedestrian Crossing on Doncaster Road, Branton

Following continued representations and liaison with Doncaster Council by the parish council a site meeting took place and it has been agreed that the crossing will be outside the Ava Court development.  This is the preferred location of the parish council as it provides access to the open space, retail facilities as well as a safe crossing to and from the local school.  DMBC are currently finalising the cost of the crossing with a view to work being undertaken early in 2017.

Results of Consultation with Residents on Expenditure Proposals

Over ninety responses were received providing views on proposals relating to the provision of additional play equipment and tree planting as well as providing a valuable insight into how the appearance of the village could be improved.  The parish council will consider the responses and put forward ideas to Doncaster Council who will arrange a full consultation on any proposals.

Thank you to all those who took the time to complete the questionnaire and for the information provided.  If you have not yet completed a questionnaire please email the parish clerk, Julia Staniforth at [email protected].
