2016 Newsletter – December

Christmas Carol Singing

This will take place on Wednesday 14 December 2016 at 6.30 p.m. at Kilham Hall, Kilham Lane, Branton DN3 3PF with musical accompaniment from a local organist and Branton St Wilfrid’s School Jubilate choir. Father Andrew will also be in attendance.  Festive refreshments provided by the local WI and soft drinks for children will be available at a small charge.

As in previous years arrangements have been made for festive lighting to be
displayed on the Christmas tree on the corner of Glen Road and Doncaster Road.

Additional Activity and Fitness Equipment at Kilham Lane Recreation Ground.

Following consultations with residents DMBC has agreed to the provision of a range of new equipment primarily for older children and adults at Kilham Lane recreation ground.  Finalisation of the lay-out of the equipment is taking place with DMBC and it is hoped to be able to publish final details early in 2017.

Provision of a Wreath and Donation to the Royal British Legion

The parish council has again purchased a poppy wreath for the local school use and made a donation to the Royal British Legion to mark remembrance day.
Parish Council Meetings and Information.

Parish council meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month (apart from August) at Kilham Hall Meeting Rooms commencing at 7.00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public and residents are welcome to attend. Information relating to parish council activities e.g. agendas, minutes, the latest newsletter and financial information is published on the parish council website www.brantonparish.co.uk
